The brevity of making my bed has two effects: it takes five seconds to unpeel my comforter from its corners at night and in the morning, during the lifted pause of whipping sheets, the words of Wittgenstein shake and shake and shake. Writing, cutting, and threading little letters to string is tedious, worthwhile work. I smile each morning.
The muffins help.

agree with suzi, i love how serene these muted colors are- the softness in the grades of white. impractical for us, though, with a bulldog who snuggles up with us each night and a 4 year old who likes jumping on the "big bed" :)
ReplyDeleteWhat an ethereal little banner! I like how I had to hunt for it a second before finding it.
