Nothing quite gets to my heart like the RKO ident. Especially these days when I'm bedridden, incapable of sleep, barely well enough to speak, drink water, and swallow soup. I've devoured nearly all of my favorite movies (and then some). And despite my feverish state, swollen lymph nodes, inflamed throat, plugged ears, and droopy eyes, I couldn't resist a Fred & Ginger double feature after visiting the doctor yesterday. Carefree and Shall We Dance are irresistible in that way, I guess. Plus, I've never been able to deny any sort of Gershwin/Berlin score as long as I've been alive (despite the fact that my Fred & Ginger box set is sitting just-so on my bookshelf). Not even sickness can take that away from me.
